Marketing An Internet Business: What Tools Are Really Needed?

I must admit, if I feel they give me an advantage in the marketplace, I am willing to spend money on internet marketing tools. However, today there are so many various ways to market an Internet business that you must be cautious about what you spend your money on.

In this article I want to discuss what Internet business building tools I feel are really needed for marketing an internet business today.

1. An autoresponder to build your list is at the top of my list. I think most Internet marketing gurus would agree that building a mailing list is the most important thing an Internet marketer can do.

Using a quality autoresponder such as Aweber to store your prospects name and email address is vital. Over time you will find that having a responsive email list is a great way to make money and a long term asset that your business cannot do without.

2. A good landing page to promote is essential. This is also known as a splash page and is simply a web page with a small amount of information and a sign up form on it.

Promoting a landing page, as opposed to your website is a good way to build a list faster. Once you have your prospects name and email address you can redirect them to your website or blog and then begin to follow up with them using your autoresponder.

3. A WordPress blog hosted by you is important. Staying in control of your business is crucial and that is why you do not want to use the free blogging platforms offered by Blogger.com and WordPress. They can cancel you at anytime if you host with them.

Today you are seeing more people using their blog as their primary website. This makes sense because blogs can be extremely interactive with your readers.

They are also very easy to update because you do not need to do anything more than type and click the publish button. Learning a few of the basic skills to correctly use your blog to your advantage is important.

4. Automated traffic from articles, videos, audios, and press releases gives you a broad based marketing campaign. There is no sense attempting to build an Internet business without driving traffic back to your website.

Automating as many of these processes as possible will free up your time to enjoy all the money you are making!
