Trust is your #1 priority in all business situations as well as on the home front. No one wants to get connected with a liar, a cheat. Losers are usually found out in the marketeplace? None of us like to be let down by those we believe in.

Ask the right questions. Investigate the details. Why? How? Where? When? How long? Is it new? How mature is the plan?

Some folks you ask will act offended but there is a reason for them being challenged or not liking you for wanting the details. Write your concerns and questions down. Don't allow bluffing. Make sure you are satisfied with the response or dig deeper until you are satisfied.
